Our Story
Hi there and welcome to Brick Street! Iām Cassie, a mom of 3 and wife to my high school turnabout date. We live on a cobble brick road in a northern suburb outside of Chicago. The Brick Street name came from these special streets that make our neighborhood feel beautifully blended between old and new.
In order to counter the excess in materials design projects can have, Brick Street Fabrics was created; an online marketplace that is focused on alleviating waste, and selling high end quality products for a fraction of the cost.
When my dad passed away I kept hold of two barrel reading chairs that belonged to him. I fell in love with keeping the antique charm of these old chairs, but wanted to recover them in something velvet, something you would find in sultry dark speak easy (or my living room). Going on a journey to find the perfect fabric led to a bigger project, a project I now call Brick Street Fabrics. What I found while sourcing my own fabric, was that there are plenty of ways to utilize remnants.
Brick Street only sells items that are in new condition. Many of these materials are not accessible online unless you have an industry wholesale account.
